Job Description

Qualifications & Experience

  • Age below 30 years.
  • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
  • Industry-recognized vendor certifications are an added advantage. (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft)
  • Minimum one (1) year of professional experience in Network Engineering or ICT Infrastructure solutions. (Fresh graduates with a one (1) year internship or industrial training are also encouraged to apply.)
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols, routing, switching, network security, and wireless technologies.
  • Familiarity with designing and implementing structured cabling (copper and fiber) and IP/ Analog ELV systems, such as surveillance and physical security, entertainment, communication, and collaboration platforms.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused service delivery mindset.
  • Ability to follow guidance, adapt quickly, and contribute effectively within a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and manage enterprise and industrial network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and advanced Wi-Fi solutions (access and backhaul).
  • Implement and maintain an IP communication system, including IP PBX, VoIP (FXS/FXO), IP phones, and industry-based advanced video collaboration solutions.
  • Assist in the design, supervision, and deployment of ICT and ELV infrastructure, including Copper / Fiber Optics structured cabling systems and FTTx (OLT/ ONU).
  • Support the integration of ELV solutions such as surveillance, telephony, access control, and public addressing.
  • Design and deploy cloud services, network security solutions, including firewalls and endpoint protection.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams on site surveys, BoQ preparation, and technical presentations.
  • Deliver end-user training, offer expert consultations, and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain accurate technical and project documentation, including progress reports and handover materials.
  • Provide proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and SLA-driven technical support (on-site and remote)

Successful candidate must have

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Sinhala or Tamil.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and professional customer support documentation while delivering a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Should stay informed about emerging technologies, industry best practices, and global standards to support continuous improvement and service excellence.
  • A good listener and communicator, capable of following instructions, learning quickly, and efficiently executing tasks assigned by team leaders.
  • The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong multitasking abilities and the resilience to remain calm and effective in high-pressure and dynamic customer environments across the island.
  • Must be flexible and willing to travel for work across various customer sites in Sri Lanka. (All travel, meals, and accommodation for outstation work will be arranged as per the guidelines.)
  • Possessing a valid driving license is an added advantage, though not mandatory.

Remuneration: An attractive remuneration and allowances would be offered depending on the skills, attitude, qualifications, and experience.
