Job Description

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO BE FULFILLED
  • Age below 35 years.
  • Minimum higher diploma or part qualification in IT, Networking, Computer Science or related areas.
  • Having vendor certification is considered a value addition.
    Should have minimum 1 - 2 years of work experience attached to IT, systems, desktop or network support.
  • Prior experience in a corporate IT support environment will be an advantage.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE
  • Expertise in Microsoft Windows 10 & 11, Microsoft Server operating systems, desktop applications, and cloud services such as (Office 365) including installation, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Should have hands-on experience in hardware system troubleshooting in desktops, laptops, printers, servers, etc.
  • Skills in LAN services and IP addressing with ability to configure routers, switches, and wireless access points.
  • Configuring, administrating and troubleshooting WAN services such as internet, VPN (IP-VPN / IP Sec) with a better understanding in routing, switching technologies.
  • Hand-on experience in install and configure email services (POP / SMTP / IMAP) and email clients.
  • Better knowledge in information security aspects, type of threats and prevention methods, end point protection, firewall systems, data backup systems including network-attached storage (NAS) and cloud storage application.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST HAVE (** SUBJECT TO BACKGROUND VERIFICATION)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Tamil / Hindi (Preferred), or Sinhala languages.
  • Ability to maintain excellent customer support records and satisfy them with your service.
  • Should be a good listener, speaker, and quick learner, follow the instructions and assigned duties of the team leaders.
  • The ideal candidate would be a good team player with multitasking capabilities and the ability to work calmly in high-pressure, challenging customer environments island wide.
  • Should be willing to travel and work with different customers in different environments/ sites island wide.
  • Having a valid driving license will be an added advantage, not essential.
