Job Description
Qualifications & Experience
- Age below 30 years.
- Higher Diploma or Related Qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in IT, systems, desktop, or network support. (Prior experience in a corporate IT support environment is a plus)
- Vendor certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA) will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge in hardware troubleshooting: desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT peripherals.
- Expertise in Microsoft Windows 10/11, Office 365, and Microsoft Server OS.
- Knowledge in networking, email configuration, firewalls, endpoint protection, backup (NAS, Cloud).
- Awareness of information security threats, preventive measures, and corrective actions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a customer-focused service delivery mindset.
- Ability to follow guidance, adapt quickly, and contribute effectively within a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide First-level (L1) IT support for desktops, laptops, network, and system-related issues.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft Windows 10/11 and Server operating systems.
- Support and manage Office 365, cloud applications, and IT policy management.
- Perform in-depth hardware troubleshooting on desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and peripheral devices.
- Maintain LAN/ WAN/ VPN infrastructure, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
- Install and troubleshoot VPN services (IP-VPN / IP Sec), email services (POP/SMTP/IMAP), and email clients.
- Monitor and provide L1 support for IT security protocols, including firewall systems, endpoint protection, and data backup solutions (NAS/cloud).
- Maintain IT documentation and ensure timely issue resolution based on SLAs.
Successful candidate must have

- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Sinhala or Tamil.
- Ability to maintain accurate and professional customer support documentation while delivering a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Should stay informed about emerging technologies, industry best practices, and global standards to support continuous improvement and service excellence.
- A good listener and communicator, capable of following instructions, learning quickly, and efficiently executing tasks assigned by team leaders.
- The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong multitasking abilities and the resilience to remain calm and effective in high-pressure and dynamic customer environments across the island.
- Must be flexible and willing to travel for work across various customer sites in Sri Lanka. (All travel, meals, and accommodation for outstation work will be arranged as per the guidelines.)
- Possessing a valid driving license is an added advantage, though not mandatory.
Remuneration: An attractive remuneration and allowances would be offered depending on the skills, attitude, qualifications, and experience.
